Software Development Center

Software Development Center (SDC)

Our work

The University of Utah, in conjunction with the Scientific Computing and Imaging (SCI) Institute and Technology & Venture Commercialization (TVC), created the Software Development Center in the Fall of 2009. The SDC, a joint effort across campus, was established to find and develop promising University of Utah software projects, and to disseminate them to the public from one centralized source.

Our mission

The SDC has a multifaceted mission. It includes creating a clear distribution channel for University software projects, developing state of the art entrepreneurial applications, and training students to become professional software developers.

Sample projects

The Software Development Center has worked on a wide range of projects from professional industrial algorithms, university medical tools and student intern directed applications.
